The next fight of Senator Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao has been moved to a later date. This was confirmed by the boxer’s adviser Michael Koncz in an interview with a giant international website.
According to Koncz, the upcoming fight is now scheduled on May 20 in the United Arab Emirates. This move was done in order to have more time to promote the match.
Previously, Pacquiao announced through his official twitter account that his next fight is scheduled this upcoming April 23.
Meanwhile, Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, has given his support to the Pacquiao-Khan fight. Previously, Arum announced that Pacquiao’s next fight will be against undefeated Australian boxer Jeff Horn.
According to Michael Koncz, he had a 2-hour meeting with Arum in his office in Las Vegas. In the said meeting, the President of the Top Rank Promotions permitted that British Boxer Amir Khan be the next opponent of the ‘World Champion Senator’.
Khan won the poll posted by Pacquiao in his twitter account. In the said poll, Pacquiao asked his followers to vote who will be his next opponent. Khan was victorious after grabbing 48% of the votes, while Horn placed last after receiving only 7% of the votes
