The University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) will start accepting patients who tested positive for the 2019 Coronavirus Disease starting Friday, March 27.
Health Usec. Maria Rosario Vergerie said that UP-PGH has allocated 130 beds for the use of COVID-19 patients.
Vergerie also gave assurance that the Department of Health (DOH) continues to look for other hospitals with the capability to accomodate COVID-19 patients with severe or critical condition.
The DOH official previously announced that the agency plans to designate UP-PGH, the Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City, and Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Caloocan City as COVID-19 specific hospitals.
