Passengers of the Manila Light Rail Transit System Line System – 1 (LRT-1) and Manila Metro Rail Transit System – 3 (MRT-3) suffered inconvenience as the two rail transit systems experienced technical problems on Monday.
According to Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez, LRT-1 lost power at Baclaran Station due to the strong rains.
The problem of LRT-1 lasted for an hour before operations returned to normal pass 8:00AM.
Many passengers of LRT-1 were annoyed by the early breakdown, and were forced to use other transport systems in order to get to their offices.
Meanwhile, passengers of MRT-3 experienced two mechanical troubles.
The route for MRT 3 was limited to the northbound lane of North Avenue and Shaw Blvd. station, due to a broken rail in between Magallanes and Ayala stations, Makati.
By 6:32AM, the trains of MRT-3 resumed normal operations.
Meanwhile, MRT Operations Manager Deo Manalo revealed, that pass 2:00PM, a train broke down in between North Avenue and Quezon Ave. Station.
