The Supreme Court has ordered the transfer from Taguig Regional Trial Court to Pasig RTC the arraignment proceedings against the members and leaders of the Moro National Liberation Front.
The High Court approved the recommendation from the Office of the Court Administration to transfer the court for the hearing of the case against the said group, who are involved in the Zamboanga City siege in September of last year.
MNLF Founding Chairman Nur Misuari and right-hand man Habier Malik are included in the Rebellion case filed by the Department of Justice.
Prior to this, the Supreme Court also approved the request of the National Prosecution Service to transfer the accused to Taguig, including the court where they will be tried, from Zamboanga City to assure of everybody’s security. (with report from Boy Gonzales)
