Social Security System Commissioner Jose Gabriel Laviña responded to the complaints of Senator Risa Hontiveros regarding the Duterte Administration and the government.
The lawmaker and the SSS official were interviewed during the 78th anniversary of DZRH.
Hontiveros commented on the on issues regarding extrajudicial killings, anti-discrimination bill, same sex marriage, smoking ban, and the first year of the Duterte Administration.
Laviña insist that Senator omitted some details on her statements, including the high approval rating of the President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Una niyang nakalimutan is the President has his highest personal approval rating as of today. So baka hindi nila nakikita yung nakikita ng karamihan ng kababayan natin.” Laviña said during an exclusive interview with DZRH. “Doon sa LGBT issue, nakalimutan din niyang bangitin na unang-una sa Pilipinas nagpasa ng anti-discrimination law, including gays, is Mayor Duterte, when he was mayor of Davao.”
Meanwhile, the SSS assured that its members in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur, and Leyte will receive a calamity loan.
Laviña said that SSS has already allocated funds to use for the loans of the victims of the Marawi Crisis, and the Leyte earthquake.
“Finafinalize lang namin, hindi kami makapag-decide kung mag-fofocus kami sa sundalo, sa mga pamilya ng sundalo na nasawi o nasugatan, o doon ba sa mga citizen. Tinitignan namin kung saan yung need. So yun ang tinitignan natin.” Laviña said regarding Marawi.
