The winning streak of Alab Pilipinas came to an end at the hands of the vengeful Singapore Slingers.

Alab tasted their fourth defeat in the seventh season of the ASEAN Basketball League after being beaten by the Slingers with a score of 90-80.

During the game at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Wednesday, Chris Charles led the Singaporean team to their fourth victory by giving 29 points and 19 rebounds.

Alab import Renaldo Balkman finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds but it was not enough to stretch the home team’s winning run to four.

Both teams have 64 points in the start of the fourth quarter but the visting team immediately took the lead and grab a 10-point advantage in the final four minutes of the game.

With at least two minutes left in the game, a technical foul was called to Alab head coach Jimmy Alapag for questioning the refrees due to an alleged non-call of a travelling violation by Slingers shooting guard Xavier Alexander.

Fil-Canadian Aj Mandani made a successful free-throw before shooting another three points for the Singaporean team in order to widen the score gap to 88-76

Last January 7, Alab was able to defeat the Slinger in their home-country with a score of 89-80.
