Following the orders of President Rodrigo Duterte to reveal the names of the so-called narco politicians, Senate President Vicente Sotto III also suggested that celebrities that are also involved in the illegal drug trade should also be publicized.

His statement stemmed after the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) mentioned that they are currently investigating two celebrities for their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade. They refused to identify the male and female celebrities whose names were seen in the cellphone of alleged party drugs supplier Steve John Pasion, who was killed in a buy-bust in Manila on Monday night.

According to PDEA Special Enforcement Service director Levi Ortiz, the two celebrities want to purchase 200 pieces of ecstasy from Pasion. He also added that the two celebrities are being monitored for quite some time as there were previous reports about their alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

When asked on his stand on the said matter, Sotto said: “Might as well name the celebrities patronizing these drug pushers. At least ‘yun pag galing sa pusher ang info, validated.”
