The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee plans to invite former President Benigno Aquino III on its next hearing on the controversial anti-dengue vaccine, Dengvaxia.
According to Sen. Richard Gordon, Aquino will be asked to attend the Senate investigation on December 14 in order to explain the procurement of the said vaccine administered to more than 700,000 students.
Gordon said that they force Aquino to attend the said hearing.
However, Gordon insisted that it will be better for Aquino to attend the hearing in order to clarify the alleged irregularities in the contract with Sanofi Pasteur, the manufacturer of Dengvaxia.
The next Senate hearing will focus on the issue of accountability.
