Senator Antonio Trillanes IV believes that Custom broker Mark Taguba was pressured to change his testimony.
On Friday, Taguba apologized to Davao City vice-mayor Paolo Duterte, and Attorney Mans Carpio for implicating them during the hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee regarding the smuggled Php6.4 billion worth of methamphetamine, also known as shabu, shipment from China.
During the said hearing last August 31, Sen Trillanes told Taguba to read a text message he sent to a certain ‘Tita Nanie’. In the said text message, Taguba was asking for the help of vice-mayor Duterte and Atty. Carpio due to problems with his shipment.
According to Sen. Trillanes, it’s useless for Taguba to change his testimony since it was heard by the public during the hearing.
Sen. Trillanes once again challenged vice-mayor Duterte and to Atty. Carpio to attend the hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee in order to clear their names.
