Filipino fighting Sen. Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBA regular welterweight belt against WBA Super Welterweight champion Keith Thurman Jr. on July 20.

Both fighters announced the match in their respective social media accounts on May 12, Sunday, but no venue has been declared yet.

Thurman has a professional record of 29 wins, 22 knockouts, and zero losses. In his last fight, the undefeated fighter defeated fellow American Josesito Lopez via majority decision in 2019 at Barclays Center in New York, United States of America.

The 30-year old American boxing champion went into a two-year hiatus in order to rehabilitate his left hand and elbow after his split decision victory against Danny Garcia in March 2017 at Barclays Center.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao, who is 10 years older than Thurman, has a professional record of 61 wins, 39 knockouts, seven losses, and draws. In his last fight, the Pambansang Kamao defended his WBA Regular welterweight belt by winning via unanimous decision against American fighter Adrien Broner in January at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Nevada, USA.
