Senator Manny Pacquiao already wants to resolve his Php 2.2 Billion Tax case with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

According to Sen. Pacquiao, he is willing to have an amicable settlement with the BIR.

In a statement released by Attorney Tom Falgui, Pacquiao’s lawyer, the Senator explained that as an official of the country has has no intention of committing any crime.

Pacquiao appealed to the government agency to discuss the case based on evidence and not on perception.

BIR Commissioner Cesar Dulay has already confirmed that he met with the lawyers of Pacquiao for a possible settlement of the Senator’s tax case.

Ever since the tenure of former BIR Comissioner Kim Henares, the agency has already told Pacquaio to pay his taxes based on his earnings at his boxing career in America during 2008 and 2009.

BIR didn’t accept the explanation of Pacquiao’s camp, that the Pambansang Kamao already paid his taxes in America when his matches happened within the foreign country.
