The Supreme Court (SC) has allowed the release of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) and other records which are considered ‘crucial’ and ‘sensitive’ against her petitioners pending impeachment complaint.

The En Banc allowed the request from the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption and Vanguard of the Philippines Constitution Incorporation to have due access on the documents that they will be needing to back their claims against the Chief Justice alleged anomalies.

Included in the records is the Chief Justice’s order to reopen the Regional Constitutional Administrative Office in Cebu City.

According to the petitioners, Sereno made the order without due consent or collegial approval from the high court.
