On Friday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recommended his eldest daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio to succeed him as the president in the future.
“Kung di man ako makabayad sa inyo, andiyan man si Inday [Sara Duterte-Carpio ]. Mayor man siya.. she might be… in the future, pwede niyong malapitan. Inday is good. Marunong. Marunong sumipa, marunong sa lahat,” said Duterte during his speech with the Filipino community in Jordan.
Duterte also disclosed that Inday Sara serves as the ‘alpha’ in their family.
“In the family, siya ang alpha. ‘Yung tigas tigas. Mula maliit hanggang lumaki, siya lang kasi ang babae,” the president added.
Inday Sara remained true to her promise of accompanying her father in the official visit to Israel and Jordan, following the controversial kiss the chief executive shared with a Filipina during his visit in South Korea last June.
Duterte, earlier, stated that Sara was a ‘dictator in the making’ after her alleged involvement in the ouster of Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez as House Speaker, after the latter supposedly bragged he could impeach the president. However, Sara has a soft heart for her father and shared several times on her Facebook and Instagram post her gratitude for having ‘Digong’ in his life.
