Two policewomen who were recently abducted in Patikul, Sulu on April 29 were already released and will be turnover to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte tomorrow, Saturday, May 19.
In an exclusive interview of dzRH with SAP Bong Go, he assured the public that the two policewomen, identified as Police Officer 2 Benierose Alvarez and PO1 Dinah Gumahad, were safely released by the ASG. The turnover will be led by Sulu Gov. Abdusakur Tan together with Moro National Liberation Front Chairman Nur Misuari. However, further details on the turnover were not disclosed to the public for safety.

On other news, during its 24th founding anniversary celebration last May 15, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) invited as the guest of honor Special Assitant to the President (SAP) Christopher “Bong” Go. The program commenced and gave emphasis in providing free tuition in state universities and colleges (SUCs).
In an interview with dzRH’s Damdaming Bayan, SAP Go confirmed that he was the one who requested CHED Officer-In-Charge Prospero De Vera III to write a confidential memorandum addressed to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on why he should implement a free tuition policy in the tertiary level. At first, Go explained that there is no budget allocated for the free tuition in college, however, the President didn’t let the proposal to be a veto and made it possible. “Mahal na mahal niya [Pangulo] ang mga estudyante”, said Go.
The free-tuition policy includes free transportation, uniform, and even monthly allowance for those students who are willing to finish their studies. Go also shared that there will be a matrix or bracket to cut off where the qualifications will be based on. The Php 43 billion fund will be exclusive for the fulfillment of the bill. Also, the free tuition has a wide scope which includes the technical and vocational courses.
