Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is qualified to run for President in 2016.
Senate President Franklin Drilon welcomes the decision of Santiago to participate in the 2016 Presidential elections.
This was the reaction of Drilon amid the announcement of Santiago that she will continue with her plans of running for President in 2016, as her health is getting better.
According to Drilon, if Santiago’s plan pushes through, the presidential race will be more exciting as the Senator will be up against Liberal Party’s Mar Roxas, United Nationalist Alliance’s Vice President Jejomar Binay, and Senator Grace Poe.
No word yet if Santiago will be having a running mate in the coming 2016 national elections.
