French pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Pasteur said that its Dengvaxia vaccine is safe, good, and effective.
During his opening statement at Monday’s Senate hearing on the said controversy, Sanofi Asia-Pacific head Thomas Triomphe said that they do not tolerate corruption, bribery, and or unlawful practices.
Before Triomphe has his chance to speak, Blue Ribbon Committee chairman Richard Gordon enumerated the cases of Sanofi in the US and Germany wherein they are being accused of bribery.
Triomphe however denied such allegations and made sure that the Dengvaxia vaccine is effective in combating the Dengue virus.
The Dengvaxia vaccine has been administered to more than 733,000 children since the government started implementing its anti-dengue vaccine program under the Aquino administration.
