San Miguel routs Magnolia to force Game-7

San Miguel Beer still has a chance to win their fifth straight PBA Philippine Cup after dominating Magnolia Hotshots, 98-86, on Sunday, May 12, at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City

June Mar Fajardo finished with 23 points and 18 rebounds while Marcio Lassiter added 20 points for the defending champions to remain alive in the All-Filipino tournament.

Chris Ross contributed 17 points and Christian Standhardinger provided 16 points for the Beermen who even led by 22 points at most during the game.

The Hotshots got the score to as close as 68-62 at the end of the third quarter. However, the Beermen went into an 14-1 run at the start of the fourth period to bring their lead back to double digits, 82-63, and to pull away for good.

Jio Jalalaon had 17 points and Ian Sangalang gave 14 points for Magnolia.

Both teams will face one another on Wednesday, May 15, at the Araneta Coliseum to decide which team will take home the championship for the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
