Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo is the new Presidential Spokesperson, as per Malacañang.
The announcement was confirmed by Special Assistant to the President Christopher Go.
Roque was already informed in the designation of Panelo and addressed that they will still need to wait until next week.

Meanwhile, it’s still uncertain whether outgoing Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque will continue with his senatorial bid in the 2019 midterm polls since he announced earlier that he has not yet resigned from the post.
It can be recalled that the spokesperson post was initially given to Panelo at the time President Rodrigo Duterte assumed his post in 2016. However, he faced criticisms following his role as former legal counsel of the Ampatuans, the main suspects in the infamous Maguindanao massacre.
Panelo was Duterte’s lawyer when he was still a presidential candidate before being designated as Chief Presidential Legal Counsel.
