The Supreme Court has ordered Vice President Leni Robredo and former Senator Bongbong Marcos to pay Php 81.46 million pesos for their separate election protest.
Based on the order of the Supreme Court, which also functions as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, the Php 66 million will be used to fund the election materials to be used for the protest of Marcos.
The remaining money will be used to fund the petition of Robredo to junk the protest of the former Vice-Presidential candidate.
Robredo defeated Marcos during the 2016 Vice-Presidential Race, but the former Senator insists that he was cheated during the election.
Last January 24, the Supreme Court junked the petition of Robredo questioning the jurisdiction of the court to hear the protest of Marcos.
