An inmate of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) died after experiencing severe illness, authorities confirmed.
QCPD Director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar identified the inmate as 37-year-old Marlon Lagrama, who was charged for drug related cases.
According to Supt. Eleazar, Lagrama was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital early 12:15 a.m. after alerting authorities of his ill health.
By 5:45 a.m. Doctor John Marie Anatalio declared Lagrama dead due to pneumonia and ‘brain enlargement’.
National Capital Region Police Office later announces that from July 2016, Lagrama was the 26th patient who died with the said ailment.
