Pope Francis declares that He admires the faith and resilience of Filipinos during upon witnessing it during His five-day Apostolic visit to the country.
During His Holiness’ presscon while en route to Rome, Italy, the Pope recounted His unforgettable experiences in the Philippines.
The first on the list of the Pope is how cheerful Filipinos are. From the time He arrived up to the time He was waving them goodbye, Filipinos never failed to show Him their cheeriness.
The Pope also admires how unshakable the devotees were as they patiently waited for Him in every route the Pope mobile passed by.
Pope Francis admitted though that He was emotionally affected by what the people from Tacloban showed Him during the Pope’s short visit to the said province.
The leader of the Catholic Church praised the survivors for keeping their faith amid the strong winds and threats of a new typhoon. They stood there in their raincoats and attended the Holy Mass.
His Holiness was happy too with how fathers raised their kids in hoping that they will be kissed by the Pope.
Pope Francis is still in awe that He is the shepherd of millions of Catholic devotees who participated in the Pope’s closing mass in Luneta last Sunday.
