Police rescues baby from ‘Yaya-kidnaper’

Members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested a nanny in Cauayan City, Isabela Province who allegedly kidnapped the seven-month-old baby she is taking care of.

The PNP-Anti-kidnapping Group (AKG) from Cauayan Police informed the kidnapping case of Josephine Asuncion to the said baby in Caloocan City last Friday afternoon.

A concerned citizen revealed that the suspect is staying in a house in mentioned town that made authorities to conduct immediate operation.

Asuncion is currently detain at Cauayan City Police Station and to be charged of kidnapping before the court.

The baby is now under the custody of Women and Children’s Protection Desk while waiting for the mother.

In CCTV footage captured, Asuncion was seen carrying the infant while walking and took a ride in a tricycle going to a bus terminal in Monumento.
