PNP’s Albayalde, AFP’s Madrigal set to visit Mindanao in prep for BOL’s plebiscite

Philippine National Police Chief Dir. Gen. Oscar Albayalde and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Benjamin Madrigal will go around Mindanao to make sure that government troops will be ready for the impending Plebiscite of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

According to Albayalde, the PNP and AFP will join forces in making sure that the plebiscite will be peaceful and orderly.

A battalion of PNP Special Action Force will also be sent as additional forces in BOL territories.

Also, the Regional Force Battalion has been alerted that they may be utilize in case the need arises.

Meanwhile, for the AFP, Madrigal said that they already laid out their own security plan together with 10,400 members of the military.

On January 18, the AFP and PNP will have a send-off ceremony in Cotabato City for all government troops will be will providing security in Mindanao for the scheduled plebiscite.
