Ninety-nine members of the Philippine National Police who were tested positive of illegal drugs have been ousted from their post.

During a press briefing on Friday, PNP-Internal Affairs Service Inps. Gen. Atty. Alfegar Triambulo confirmed that the order to dismissed the said police officers have been signed already by PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa.

According to Triambulo, these cops failed the confirmatory drug test.

Aside from the 99 police officers, the PNP-IAS will be recommending to General Dela Rosa 40 more cops to be dismissed by next week.

The said number came from the 198 police officers who failed the confirmatory drug test amid the continuous mandatory drug test being conducted by the PNP.

The dismissal of the 99 cops came after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the more than 300 police officers to be transferred to Basilan or quit their jobs, amid being linked to illegal activities, including ‘tokhang for ransom’, and the extortion.

  1. The lady host could have smile a little bit. She does not seem to be ready to go to work. What a sour grapes to see, and watch your afternoon TV broadcast. Again please review the tapes for Friday 10 Feb 2017 .
