PHL, Papua New Guinea hold bilateral meeting

President Rodrigo Duterte welcomed Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minsiter Peter O’Neill in Malacanang on Wednesday.

O’Neill arrived at the Palace around 5pm, and was welcomed by the President and some of his Cabinet members.

After the official welcome ceremony and signing of the guest book, the two world leaders went inside Malacanang for their bilateral meeting.

No details have been revealed yet on what the two discussed during the said meeting.

The diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Papua New Guinea started in 1975.

O’ Neill is scheduled to visit the Philippine Rice Research Institute in Nueva Ecija on Thursday before flying to Japan.
