Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam on Thursday, May 17 asked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to relieve her from her post following the corruption issues faced by the agency.
“I’m appealing to the President, I love our country, you know that. And I love you for being firm of your advocacy of anti-corruption,” Cam said during her press conference.
The presidential appointee bluntly said that she “can no longer take the corruption in this agency.”
At that time, Cam said she walked out of a special board meeting called by PCSO chairman and general manager Anselmo Simeon Pinili.

According to Cam, she felt her fellow board directors are ganging up on her to compel on the reversal of the recent PCSO Board Resolution 83 that gave recognition to a new set of officers of Speedgame Inc., the authorized agent corporation that operates the Small Town Lottery (STL) in Pangasinan.
She added that she refused on reversing the revocation as there was already a legal opinion issued by the Office of the General Corporate Counsel on the infirmities of the resolution.
Cam, who was appointed in 2017, revealed that the agency has already lost a lot of money, sighting the Php 10-Billion that went missing due to the Peryahan ng Bayan Project.
The Peryahan ng Bayan, operated by Globaltech Mobile Online Corporation, was considered illegal until the Court of Appeals overturned the ruling which allowed it to continue its operations.
