The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will file charges against Paolo Felizarta, who caused a commotion in the middle of Game-5 of the Philippine Cup finals on Friday, May 10, at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Felizarta, wearing a Spider-man costume, entered the court while the game between the San Miguel Beermen and the Magnolia Hotshots was ongoing. He collided with Beermen’s June Mar Fajardo and Christian Standhardinger before he was removed by the security.

After consulting with the league’s legal counsel atty. Melvin Mendoza, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said that they will file public alarm and scandal, and unjust vexation charges against the court intruder.

Felizarta is currently detained at the Quezon City Police District Station 7.

Amidst the commotion, security personnel accosted two other individuals but they weren’t detained. However, they would be invited by investigators to shed further light on the incident.

The PBA will file charges as early as Tuesday, May 14, since courts will be closed until Monday, May 13, due to the mid-term elections.
