The Philippine Basketball Association cracked the whip and dished out fines and penalties.

The PBA fined Guiao P20,000 was for statements detrimental to the league, P10,000 was for gesturing a dirty finger in the game and P5,000 for leaving the bench and engaging in an altercation.

Elasto Painters assistant coach Mike Buendia and assistant team manager Jay Legacion were likewise slapped P5,000 each.

San Miguel Beer swingman Arwind Santos and Rain Or Shine center Jewel Ponferrada were also assessed P5,000 each for committing flagrant 1 fouls.

Rain Or Shine star Paul Lee was also fined P1,000 for committing his first technical foul of the season.

Overall, a total of P56,000 in fines was handed out by the league for Game 4 of the heated San Miguel-Rain or Shine semis war.

After the match Guiao told the press his team had no chance to win given how the games are being officiated.

”Wala kaming pag-asa lalo kung ganun ang tawagan,” said Guiao.
