The PBA Commissioner’s Office slapped a 20 thousand peso-fine to Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao.

The said fine stemmed after Guiao hit Chris Ross of the San Miguel Beer during Game One of their Philippine Cup Semifinal series.

Ross was about to inbound the ball near the bench of the Elasto painters when the incident happened.

A commotion occurred after that, causing Beau Belga to push Ross. The two players received technical fouls.

Belga was also slapped with a 20 thousand peso fine, while Ross was able to skip paying any penalty.

This isn’t the first time that Guiao receive a penalty.  The RoS head coach is one of the more outspoken coaches in the league, but this is the first time under the management of Commissioner Chito Narvasa.

Narvasa is a long-time friend of Guiao, and also replace him as the President of the Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippines when the lawmaker stepped down from his post.

Aside from Guiao and Belga, Raymond Almazan and Jericho Cruz of Rain or Shine and Yancy De Ocampo of the Beermen are asked to pay up 1,600 peso penalty.
