The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) expects the weather in Metro Manila to improve by Wednesday, August 15.
According to PAGASA weather forecaster Aldzar Aurelio, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA will experience moderate to heavy rains until Tuesday, August 14.
While, the rains in Northern Luzon and Central Luzon will last for five days since the southwest monsoon is moving north.
Aurelio warns the said areas to prepare for possible floodings and landslides due to the rains.
Meanwhile, PAGASA monitors another tropical cyclone that, as of 3AM, is at 2,230 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Tropical Storm Leepi is moving north at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour and has a maximum wind strength of 80 kph, along with a gustiness of about 95 kph but is expected to not enter PAR.
