Nora Aunor snubs Cannes Film Festival

The daughter of Nora Aunor, Lotlot De Leon came to her mother’s defense after the former failed to make it to this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

According to Lotlot, she’s not privy to what really happened why her mom didn’t attend the said prestigious film festival, but would like to believe that it was just all about miscommunication.

Aunor is the lead actor in the movie “Taklub”, by the award-winning director Brillante Mendoza.  She’s nominated for the Best Actress category.

According to some reports, Aunor was already at the airport but decided to back out when she found out that she was only given an economy class ticket.

She was trying to request to be upgraded to Business class but the staff of Mendoza wasn’t able to do so.

Lotlot’s hoping that things will get better between her mom and Mendoza.

Incidentally, Nor expressed her support to Senator Grace Poe, in-case the latter decides to run for higher office in 2016.

Aunor was present during the hearing of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, which is being headed by Poe.  The issue focused on how to improve Philippine cinema.

The veteran actress said that though Poe is a neophyte in politics, she feels her sincerity.

Meanwhile, it seems that Maja Salvador regrets being in a relationship with Gerald Anderson.

During the actress’ latest TV guesting, Maja said that if there’s another person vying for her affection back then, she wouldn’t have chosen Gerald.

That way, she wouldn’t have severed her ties with then bestfriend Kim Chiu.

However, the actress clarified that she and Gerald were happy when they were together.   (with DZRH Milky Rigonan)
