Superstar Nora Aunor assures the fans and supporters of the late German Moreno that she will continue the “master showman’s” legacy as she joins “Walang Tulugan”, aired every Saturday night at the Kapuso network.
Aunor who was one of the many artists that benefited from the generosity of Moreno, stated in an interview after her friend was laid to rest on Saturday that she is willing to continue with the show if the network will continue airing it. “Gusto ko pong ako ang magpatuloy ng show niya, para matupad at maipagpatuloy ang kagustuhan niyang tulungan ang mga kabataang gusting pumasok sa industriya at maipakita ang kanilang talento.”
Aunor and Moreno have been friends since the two of them were still unknown in the showbiz industry. It was Moreno who helped Aunor to become the big star she is now. Even with their previous misunderstandings, the two kept their friendship intact, and according to Aunor, she will be forever grateful for the things that Moreno did to her, career-wise and even her personal life.
Moreno died at the age of 82 after suffering from cardiac arrest. He was known for helping teenagers achieve their dreams of becoming stars through shows like That’s Entertainment, Young Love, Sweet Love, Walang Tulugan, GMA Supershow and Germs Special among others.
He was also one of the rare ones from local showbiz who is allowed crossover in all networks, amid being part of GMA 7, because he considers everyone as his family.
