No terror threat amid Japan Prime Minister’s visit to Davao

The Davao City Police Office stated that their counter terrorism experts have yet to monitor any terror threat regarding the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Davao City tomorrow, Friday.

According to Sr. Insp. Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, all his units have been mobilized to make sure that security will be tight amid the impending arrive of Prime Minister Abe at the home of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Aside from this, the military under Task Force Davao has been mobilized to help with the security details of the Philippine National Police.

Incidentally, Prime Minister Abe has just arrived in Manila for his two-day state visit to the country.  He is the first foreign head of state to visit the country under the Duterte administration.  He is set to visit Davao on Friday, at the home of the President and meet with the business sector of the said city.
