The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has placed Luzon under yellow alert on Friday, July 12.
In an advisory, the yellow alert is said to take effect starting 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It also added that details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day.
According to the NGCP, the available capacity of the Luzon grid is 11,208MW, however, the peak demand is at 10,738MW.
