NFA insists: Fake rice is Fake news

The National Food Authority and the Grains Retailers Confederation (GRECON) insist that reports regarding fake rice are fake news.

This, after the NFA and GRECON showed to media the results of their six laboratory examination of raw samples of suspected fake rice.

According to NFA Administrator Jason Laureano Aquino, the samples they collected tested negative, meaning that they are all ‘true’ rice and no fake rice was mixed.

Due to this, James Magbanua, president of GRECON, insist that there is no fake rice.

Meanwhile, the NFA asked that the public do not believe and spread fake news, including the viral video in Youtube wherein cooked rice was made into a ball, and thrown to the floor in order to prove that it is hard as a golf ball.
