National Capital Region Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde scolded the weak security of the Resorts World Manila that was attacked by a lone gunman last June 1.
During the press briefing in Malacañang this June 2, the Philippine National Police official said that a female security guard was to first to see the gunman entering the casino.
However, according to Albayalde, the lady guard ran and joined the panicking crowd, rather than calling additional security personnel to control the gunman.
At least 37 people were killed by suffocation after fire started at Resorts World Hotel following the attack of the gunman who shot and burned himself.
“He left his car inside the carpark at pagpasok niya he was already hanging baby armalite dito sa shoulder niya.” Albayalde said regarding the female security guard. “Meron security doon, probably internal security nandoon, it’s because hindi naman talaga siya security guard. Babae pa. Nakita niya.
When she approached the guy, nakita niya yung firearms at doon pa lang na-rattle na siya.”
