Murder charges have been filed against Janet Capalad due to her alleged involvement in the death of her husband, Danilo Teruel, 57 years old and an Overseas Filipino Worker.

This was confirmed by PC/Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, regional director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regiona 4-A.

Capalad and her alleged lover Ruel Guico, a close friend of the victim, were arrested on May 20 after the police discovered evidence showing that the suspects planned the death of Teruel, who was shot by a gunman in front of his home at Brgy. Pinagkawitan, Lipa City.

Sila naman yung nag-plano bagamat hindi sila mismo yung pumatay. Kasama sila sa finilean natin ng murder case,” Eleazar said during DZRH’s Breaktime.

Eleazar said that they have witnesses that can testify of seeing Guico with the gunman.  However, authorities have yet to reveal the identity of the gunman as he remains a target of their manhunt operations.

Authorities also discovered additional information and lead through the suspects’ mobile phone, which further implicate them to the crime.

Eleazar revealed that Capalad and her lover Guico have already undergone inquest proceedings for the murder of Teruel, who was killed after returning from Saudi Arabia along with his wife

The couple was picked up by Guico, who also worked in Saudi Arabia, at the airport and brought them to their home, where the victim was shot.
