NCRPO Chief Guillermo Eleazar on Saturday, July 14 announced the dismissal of Muntinlupa P/SSupt. Dionisio Bartolome from its post after the entrapment operations of the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Unit inside the Muntinlupa PNP.
In an interview with dzRH ‘s Tambayan, Eleazar said that he recommended Bartolome’s dismissal to PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde after the involvement of his cops in extortion. The recommendation was immediately approved and his removal from the post will be effective starting today.
“The commanders shall be responsible and accountable of their own enforcement unit whether alam mo o hindi dapat monitored mo lahat. This is what we call effective supervision,” the NCRPO chief addressed in an interview with Raymund Dadpaas and Florante Rosales of dzRH.
On Friday, four cops from Muntinlupa PNP were arrested in an entrapment operation after being allegedly involved in robbery and extortion to a female drug suspect. The cops, identified as Po2 Farvy Dela Cruz; Po1 Jonjon Averion; Po3 Romero PAr; and SPo1 Psylo Joe Jimenez, were accused of extorting at least Php 300,000.
Eleazar disclosed that the arrested cops have been practicing illegal extortion inside and outside the Muntinlupa PNP. He also slammed the commanders who are ‘unaware’ of the illegal transactions happening under their supervision and said that they should remain vigilant and uphold their vow in serving the people.
“Talagang sagad sa buto ang kanilang intensyon na gumawa ng ganitong klaseng krimen,” said Eleazar. As of now, the Muntinlupa PNP will be under the supervision of an OIC in which Eleazar haven’t named yet.
Aside from Bartolome, Eleazar also fired the head of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Muntinlupa Police, Police Senior Inspector Pesigan.

The Philippine National Police also prepares for the upcoming State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that is set on July 23, Monday.
In the earlier reports, PNP announced the deployment of at least 6,000 cops on the day of the SONA. Eleazar addressed that his team is undergoing a series of coordination with the people and agencies that are involved in the annual state address of the chief executive.
He also informed the public that there will be 7,000 PNP personnel that will be utilized and employed on July 23 to further secure the protection of the President and the people who will surround the Batasang Pambansa on the day of SONA. They will also conduct a series of meetings with other stakeholders and militant leaders starting today and will further resume on Monday, July 16.
When asked about the effectivity of the series of meetings in preparation for the SONA, Eleazar stressed “sa pag-uusap nagkakaroon ng agreement at sa pagkakasundo nandyan ang pagtupad. Tinutupad nila ang pinag-usapan at isa yun sa magiging basehan para mas maging maayos ang takbo ng ating programa.”
The NCRPO is also tasked to spearhead the security for the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run that will take place tomorrow, July 15, as part of the 79th anniversary of dzRH.
