MPD’s chief of staff gets axed from post

Sr. Supt. Gilbert Cruz was relieved from his post as Chief of Staff of the Manila Police District.

Cruz insisted that he was axed from his post for “advancement”.

However, he’s unsure why he’s being asked to return to the Philippine National Police Training Services in Camp Crame where he was stationed before.

Meanwhile, the post to be vacated by Cruz has no replacement yet.  But, Laguna Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Romulo Sapitula’s name is one of the popular choices.

Cruz headed in implementing the Organized Vending and Road clearing operation in Divisoria, one of the projects of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.
