MPD announces closure of roads near Quiapo Church for Good Friday

The Manila Police District (MPD) – Traffic Enforcement Unit will be implementing a rerouting scheme in the vicinity of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, also known as Quiapo Church, on Good Friday, April 19.

In an advisory, the MPD said that they will temporarily close various roads from traffic to all types of vehicles for the Good Friday Procession.

Affected roads include the southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard from A. Mendoza/Fulgoso to Plaza Miranda and España/P. Campa/Lerma.

The MPD advised motorists to take alternate routes when going to Quezon Blvd. during the closure. For vehicles coming from Quezon A. Mendoza, take a right turn at Fugoso St., then turn left at Rizal Avenue to your point of destination. Meanwhile, vehicles from España may turn left at Nicanor Reyes St., then turn right or left at C.M. Recto Avenue to your point of destinantion.
