Film actor Cesar Montano is fuming mad after their flight bound for Manila, was diverted to Clark International Airport instead.
In an interview with DZRH, Montano said that they boarded Philippine Airlines’ flight PR-454 from General Santos to Manila and were supposed to land at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 12 noon.
However, their flight was diverted instead to Clark amid the temporary closure of the runway in NAIA.
Montano, currently a guest star of ABS-CBN’s hit “FPJ presents: Ang Probinsyano” said that they were not allowed to disembark from the plane.
The actor added that they were only served biscuits while waiting for the go-signal from the control tower.
Montano insisted that the passengers could have been fetched by a bus instead, since the pilot’s latest update was that they have to wait for four hours before they can depart again.
Prior to this, NAIA management announced that there will be an emergency repair on runway 06/24. Based on the said report, a part of the said runway went shallow because of a crack wherein water was able to seep in.
The said closure will be for at least five hours, from 4pm onwards.
The management added that expect more flights to be affected due to this emergency repair.
10 flights have been diverted to Clark in Angeles City already.
