MMDA starts clearing operations in Baclaran

Clearing operations in the stretch of Baclaran, Paraῆaque City conducted by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) kicked-off Friday morning.

Around 40 towing trucks were deployed to tow illegally parked vehicles in the stretch of C. Rivera Street until EDSA.

‘Illegal vendors’ were also removed in the sidewalk.

Clearing operations is expected to continue in the coming days.

Prior to this, MMDA Chairman Tim Orbos, said his office plans to clean the stretch of Service Road from Baclaran until Kalaw, while terminals in the area will also be prohibited.

By the time the clearing operations is done, Orbos vowed of four lanes in the Service Road.

MMDA on Thursday planned of a surprise raid but was postponed since it was relayed to the vendors and terminals in Baclaran.
