Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is set to deploy 22 female traffic enforcers and motorcycle riders in major streets in Metro Manila.
According to MMDA, which is among the inter-agency council on traffic (i-ACT), the female traffic constables will be assigned in areas with highest pedestrial traffic.
MMDA said next week the number of lady enforcers who will help manage the traffic flow in Metro Manila will increase.
The agency assigned lady traffic enforcers since they are more patient in dealing with motorists.
In the past, there have been a series of conflicts between motorists and traffic constables in Metro Manila due to heated argument that some led to violent endings.
