The scheduled rehabilitation of the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge set this Saturday, January 19, has been moved anew.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the said bridge was supposed to have been closed in September, 2018. However, the Department of Public Works and Highways decided to move it to January 12 because of the holiday season.
However, for the third time, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said that the closure will be moved again for next Saturday, at 4 in the morning.
The MMDA reiterated that when they are done rehabilitating the bridge, this will bring comfort to a lot of commuters.
The supposed repairs on the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, located in between Mandaluyong and Makati Cities, will take place for 30 months.
On Monday, the MMDA Task Force Operations Group will start getting rid of illegally parked vehicles and illegal vendors surrounding the bridge.
