The Metro Manila Development Authority is determined to cleanse the area of Baclaran, Paranaque of illegal vendors, and illegally parked vehicles.
MMDA Chairman Tim Orbos made this declaration after their clearing operations in Baclaran this April 21.
According to Orbos, their agency is meeting with concerned stakeholders, which includes representatives from the Muslim community, in order to ensure that Baclaran will remain pleasing.
Soldiers will be guarding the Baclaran Area to make sure that vendors won’t become victims of syndicates, and also for the clearing operations to not appear as ‘ningas-cogon’ or without conviction.
“Meron kaming social component. Said Orbos during an interview with DZRH.
