Hollywood couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits after less than a year of tying the knot, according to a report by an international news outlet — People.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a representative of Cyrus said in a statement with People.
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
The couple first met at the set of Nicholas Sparks’ film “The Last Song” back in 2009. Since then, Miley and Liam have always been caught in the controversy of their on-off relationship, that led them to break up in 2013 only to get back together in 2015.
In December 2018, both Miley and Liam confirmed through their Instagram posts that they got married in a small ceremony.
