Mighty Sports Philippines defeated Homenetmen of Lebanon, 91-76, to finish in third place in the Dubai International Basketball Championship in the Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Jett Manuel scored 19 and Randolph Morris added 11 points as the Philippine representatives finished with six wins and one loss in the tournament.
A 10-point run at the start of fourth quarter allowed the Mighty Sports to grab their biggest lead in the game, 77-55, and en route to another victory over Homenetmen, who loss to the former, 96-89, during the group stages.
With Walter Hodge, who scored 42 points during the first match against Mighty Sports, not playing, Jerar Hadidian led the Leabanese squad with his 23 points while Elie Rutom contributed 20 points.
Mighty Sports got relegated to the battle for the bronze medal after losing to Al Riyadi of Lebanon, 89-84, in the semifinals.
With a podium finish in the tournament, Mighty Sports redeemed from their maiden stint in the Dubai competition on 2017 in which the team only secured a single win.
