Metro Manila police chief Alfred Corpus fired after 12 days of assuming post


Days after assuming his assigned post, Metro Manila Eastern Police District (EPD) Chief Superintendent Alfred Corpus was fired on Tuesday, just 12 days after being appointed.

Corpus will be placed under the supervision of the office of the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to Metro Manila Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Corpus was fired due to an order from the PNP National Headquarters command led by PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde.

He will be replaced by  Bernabe Balba who will be the acting EPD Director.
