Members of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit of the NCRPO will be facing necessary charges after being caught with 10 kilos of Shabu during a checkpoint in Baliwag, Bulacan.
12 cops and five assets allegedly were arrested last Tuesday during a standoff between the said suspects and members of Bulacan police.
The 17 cops and assets, onboard five vehicles were stopped at a checkpoint in Baliwag after being caught with kilos of shabu. But the suspects denied owning the said contraband claimed that they recovered it from a buy-bust operation.
However, Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino, regional director of PRO-3, the members of the NCRPO failed to present a suspect and record that will prove that their operation was legitimate.
Chief Supt. Benjamin Hulipas, chief of the Special Investigating Task Group said that there is enough evidence to press charges against the members of the NCRPO and their alleged assets.
