The recent boxing showdown between undefeated American champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mixed Martial Arts Star Connor Mcgregor failed to beat the record of the American boxer’s showdown against Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao last 2015.

According to reports, the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight had more ticket sales compared to the Mayweather-McGregor crossover in T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, last August 26.

The ticket sales of the McGregor and Mayweather encounter garnered $ 55.4 million, while the Pacquiao-Mayweather match in MGM Grand Arena gained a revenue of $ 72.2 million.

Mayweather won in both of the said fights, however the American champion’s win against Pacquiao was surrounded with controversy.
